This rare and limited 1997 Fender Artist Series Jimi Hendrix Tribute Stratocaster (Serial Number: TN704506) was only produced by Fender from 1997 – 2001. It was modeled after the same Strat that Jimi Hendrix played at his historic performance at the Woodstock Music Festival of August 1969. The Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster, built in Fender’s factory in Corona, California, is a left-handed model strung right-handed and reversed, with the strap button on the lower horn, so that right-handed players would appear as Jimi Hendrix did when looking at themselves in the mirror. The guitar comes in Olympic White, with maple neck and a large late-60s-style headstock, classic Schaller “F” tuners and three reverse staggered vintage Stratocaster pickups. Jimi’s picture is engraved on the neck plate. This guitar is in excellent collector-grade condition with not much evidence of ever being played. It has one barely visible mark on the top of the body, two at the back of the neck and some weather checkings in the finish of the fretboard and headstocks front and back. ALL original, no breaks, cracks or repairs. It includes all the fender case candy, hang tags, manuals and even has the purple hendrix sticker on the guitar plus the original bill from Guitar Center in Arizona from 1999!
