A very unique and interesting 3-piece Jar or Urn – Handmade coiled with a more raw or slightly textured/grainy outer scored surface and then the interior of the inner stash jar and lid is smooth and fully glazed for safe and hygienic storage. The inner Cork Lid is real, natural cork, NOT faux plastic cork – there are no smells, residue, stains marks or age-rot cracking or crumbling, no knicks or gashes to the cork AT ALL – that is why I say it was probably never used and it is truly in PERFECT CONDITION. There is an Artist marking of initials – “JP”. The white “arrow or figurative rain” inset designs in groups of 5 on the outside of jar seem to be made of stone or shell or ceramic – I’m not quite sure about that but it’s my best guess – all are perfect condition, none are missing, none are discolored or damaged – maybe a poured resin? Don’t know but it’s a very nice touch! I measured and poured water into the jar to determine the capacity. To the very top of jar it’s 48oz liquid but that does not allow insertion of cork lid – poured out 8oz and lid fit as designed – weighs 3 pounds. Dimensions are 6.5 in height and 6.5 inches in width – Tied like a present with the glazed handmade applied clay roping! Very well executed by the Artist, perfectly shaped, perfect dimensions, no wobble, feels great in hand – WELL DONE! It’s earthy, decorative, very handy to store lots of different things and a real eye-catcher – hope you love it!
