Jaydee models is proud to present Ghost, a 1/5 scale resin torso. For this sculpture I wanted to create a more dream like, ghostly sculpture, a departure from my usual work. Designing the torso I decided that the hair would be the element needed to help get that right look and feel to it. I studied photos and video clips featuring hair movement underwater, theres a particularly creepy scene in the excellent supernatural film What lies beneath (2000) which helped focus the sculpting. Hair blowing in the wind can look beautiful, but hair moving underwater has a truly otherworldly look and feel to it. Once I was happy with the hair shape and form I concentrated on the face, giving her a intense and focused look, beautiful but unsettling in appearance. The torso is finished in a satin white and complemented with a dark rock base. Limited to 100 signed and numbered on the base. Keep checking back as new designs will added on a regular basis.
