Here for sale we have a Fender Jim Root Telecaster, an Artist Series guitar designed in conjunction with the Slipknot guitarist. This is certainly not your typical Tele, with a more substantial feeling Mahogany body, smooth Ebony fretboard and pair of EMG60/81 pickups. Other features include locking tuners, a single volume control and schaller strap buttons. The neck of this guitar is really slim for a Tele and features a flat 12 radius. This combination makes for a really quick player that suits lead players much more than a traditional telecaster. Further playing comfort is granted by the 6100 Jumbo frets, large frets which require less pressure to play and therefore make longer playing sessions that little bit easier. Providing this guitar with that powerful tone Root is renowned for is an EMG 61 and an EMG80, a hot pair of pickups which when paired with the heavier Mahogany body give a really thick and warm tone with plenty of sustain. Neck- There is a light indent on the bass side of the neck near the 3rd fret and some wear to the neck just on the edges of the fingerboard. Any Extra Condition Notes- Some marks from playing wear on the rear, on the neck plate. There is some marking near the bottom strap button. Shape and condition is good, the fret ends may want attention by the new owner as fret ends can be felt when running hand down each side of the neck. Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted. Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 2mm bass 1.5mm treble. Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Notes on Set Up. Fully adjustable to personal preferences. Strings on Guitar- 10 – 46. Electrics are in full working order. In overall very good condition. No significant markings with only minor imperfections. Plays nicely and has a powerful sound.
