The red 1965 Airline model illustrated here is referred to as the’JB Hutto’ model after the bluesman and slide guitar artist J. Hutto who was the first and most visible musician to regularly use this guitar in live performances and recordings. The early 1960’s JB Hutto Montgomery Ward Airline model was re-issued by Eastwood Guitars in the early 2000’s under the name of Airline DLX, however, with many noticeable differences.
