Snowdonia Original Art
Did you know you could get a train to the top of Snowdon? ! I didn’t, until my dad suggested the idea. As a result in July 2011 we popped over the border to Wales and took the Snowdon Mountain Railway up to the top. We were very lucky to have a beautiful clear day and the views from the top are very difficult to put into words. We felt a little guilty when a couple made it to the top who had clearly walked and were exhausted (but they were very happy), and we had yet to break a sweat! Established in 1896 by Sir Richard Moon, Chairman of the London & North Western Railway. Original artwork by British Artist Diane Griffiths. Acrylic, oil and enamel on 50x50cm canvas with painted sides. Also available framed in a high quality white wooden floater frame. Framed measurements: 53x3cm, depth 3cm. Signed with Certificate of Authenticity. Snowdonia’captures one of the fastanic views we had from the top of the mountain. The varied colours in the painting, while creatively applied, are real – the view really did have an abundance of colour ranging from distant purples, the deep blues of the sky and tarns, through to the green vegetation and the many colours of the mountain rock itself. I love the path winding its way down one of the peaks which gives the scene a dynamic way into the painting, then you can follow the peaks back through the painting and then down to the tarn; reflecting the sky in a spectacular burst of colour. You really are on the top of the world from this vantage point. Painted on a 50x50cm canvas in acrylic, oil and enamel – this painting is available framed or unframed, ready to hang with painted sides. Sorry, our items are NOT available for pick-up.
