A very large hand painted Alchemy Stone with an extremely “dense” and complex “compass mandala” style design in rich shades of blue with green, violet, gold and white. This is a very large and detailed piece with more than 1,600 individual design elements! Amplification Stones are a particularly ” intense ” Alchemy Stone pattern type, first developed in 2018. It is intended – as the name suggests – to amplify energy : focus, during meditation; intent, during goal setting; clarity, during prayer; memory, during studies and so forth. Looking intently at the pattern for several minutes has also been reported to trigger memories of past lives in some people, but not making any promises! I have been “seeing patterns” since I was a child, and I started drawing them when I was quite young. My mother would often save my doodles, turning them into bookmarks or notes for others as small tokens of friendship. It wasn’t until I was in my 20’s before someone pointed out that I was incorporating sacred geometry into the designs I was drawing. At the time, it didn’t intrigue me enough to study the concept or meaning… Not until another connection regarding alchemy was made much later. There is something “magical” about stones. Sarah and I have been bringing rocks home since we were children. The bookcases and shelves in our house tend to have several small collections of rocks, and Sarah is very fond of stacking them into cairns. Several years ago I first drew a delicate pattern on one of my favorite pocket stones, and gifted it to Sarah for a special occasion. The design I drew was a favorite “doodle” I was fond of recreating over and over, in varying sizes, colors and intricacy. As I concentrated on the image it was important for me to convey the depth of love I had for her into each dot, curve and shape. When people saw the original Alchemy Stone I’d given Sarah, they began asking me if I’d create one for them. Soon, I had requests for wedding gifts, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and other important moments. I would sit quietly in silent contemplation while I focused on their request and the pattern would rise up into my consciousness. Unlike automatic writing, my designs come from “within”. Occasionally in Sarah’s work as a minister she will be asked to bless a space or an event; in a few circumstances the “energy” had been difficult to clear and she wondered if having a tangible item would make a difference for the home/business owner. We created a small set of stones for that purpose with excellent results. Intention combined with action will always cause a reaction! Mankind has been decorating stones, drawing on cave walls and carving into rock for eons. Humans have kept stones for luck and for their mystical properties since the beginning of recorded time. We have created stone monuments ranging from simple circles to masterful pyramids that keep scholars guessing to this day. When people visit remarkable places they are often inspired to bring back a “piece” and quite often that is just a simple, ordinary stone. Minerals hold energetic frequencies with elements that can be measured by science. Serious paranormal investigations will note the geography of any given structure or area due to the effect certain types of minerals can have on the atmosphere. It is not a coincidence that one of the most haunted places in the United States is a famous resort hotel nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains; a place very high in quartz content. Of course a simple beach rock or pebble won’t have the aesthetic appeal of a clear quartz crystal point. There’s no argument that the beauty of a rainbow prism in any semi precious or precious gem is always inspiring; however what I have recognized over years of experience with a variety of “just” rocks from around the world is their unwavering ability to maintain a steady “pulse” of being connected to something greater. Whether that “something” is the mountain the rock used to be a part of, the heartbeat of Gaia or the vast, profound essence of The Creator is a question of faith. If nothing else, that is how these ancient pieces of forgotten mountains show us their rainbows.
