EXTRA PHOTOS at the bottom of this listing! Size: Just about 20 inches tall. 7, or the 7th bear created by Cathy Peterson. Hand Made in the USA One-of-a-Kind OOAK. Each bear is slightly differernt. This bear is slightly used, he belonged to Cathy’s mother. He is stored in cabinet, although it has never been played with, it is from the artist’s collection. About: A lovely unique bear made from vintage hounds tooth wool fabric, with crepe paw pads. Wearing a red cotton bow and a felt beret. Wool yarn nose and excelsior / wood shavings stuffed. He’s a heavy bear, made the old fashioned way. This is a very early bear, from my mother’s collection and the 7th bear made by Cathy Peterson, a very early Roosevelt bear. His eyes are crystalline / plastic, a rare thing, as they were only used for a short time. The bear is one of 2 made from the vintage fabric. A special tag has been added, as those early bears were made for fun rather than commercial pursuits. He is a bit dodgy around the edges. He’s been living in a cabinet for 25 years, some dust spots as seen in the photos, but none-the-less a handsome teddy bear. This bear would make a wonderful gift for the teddy bear lover in your life, even if that is you! Extra Details: — This item, although expertly constructed is not a toy.
