“Good Day, Bartholomew Fattimous at your service”. Bartholomew Fattimous is one of my larger needle felted sculptures taking over 20 hours of wool stabbing and designing to create. 13cm wide (including tail). Bartholomew is made using a wire armature covered in dry needle felted wool fibre. He has silk clay feet, hands and tail. Black eyes, whiskers, wired teeth and a pink flocked nose. His clothes I have hand made from recycled fabric and he has a silver fob chain and hand made mulberry paper rose. Bartholomews jacket is made from black cotton with green ribbon trim and his waistcoat lime green satin with embroidery. I’ve made his top hat from card and covered in vintage reclaimed black suede with a green ribbon trim. He’s finished off with a raw sari silk cravat. As this design is a larger weightier sculpture he has a metal stand secured to the felting at the back to allow him to stand freely. Bartholomew Fattimous is a One Off Bespoke design so only the one pictured is available for sale. Images and wording can not be used without consent. Felted sculptures are not designed as toys so should not be given to young children. It is not advisable to place sculptures in the window or in constant direct sunshine as the colour of the wool could fade.
